Zlango today announced its partnership with meemo™, the digital goods licensing and distribution company specializing in entertainment-branded virtual goods and emoticons. A licensee of highly recognizable brands—such as Paul Frank, My Little Pony, Adventure Time, Powerpuff Girls and many others — the two companies will provide a powerful global presence as well as a new revenue stream based upon entertainment branded images through Zlango's image-based mobile app.
With entertainment-branded image packs from meemo and Zlango's new Halloween icon packs, communications between users can be visually explosive and expressive via text-messaging and social sharing. Zlango users simply assign images to the words they are typing to add flare and tone to become much more communicative than everyday ordinary SMS. Now users can communicate using well known entertainment-branded images from meemo as well as new Zlango branded images representing popular Halloween symbols, like Jack-O-Lanterns, ghosts and pumpkins.
"Through this partnership with Zlango, meemo continues to support platforms and applications interested in harnessing the high-brand equity and enhanced revenue opportunities well known entertainment images offer. The meemo portfolio of entertainment brands are very familiar to users in other parts of their lives and now can be used for a whole new level of self expression and communication." said Jed Corenthal co-Founder of meemo LLC. "By working with Zlango, we're offering the growing number of smartphone users a new level of entertaining communication while enhancing the value proposition to all parties."
With recent improvements to its Facebook sharing and Android- to- web transferring capabilities, Zlango users find it easier and more entertaining than ever before to communicate with high-impact messages. The meemo portfolio will join brands like Charuca, the Walking Dead, Terminator and the Surfrider Foundation in increasing fan engagement, getting Zlango users talking with and about their favorite brands.
"With popular brands like Paul Frank, My Little Pony, Adventure Time and Powerpuff Girls, Zlango users have access to trendy, textable images," said Jen Grenz, Vice President of Marketing, Zlango. "The Zlango user is someone dedicated to personalization and really adding a unique flare to how they are expressing themselves. Partnering with meemo has brought new, incredibly recognizable and popular images and made them available for people to add into their messages via texting or posting to Facebook."
