A month after Toys"R"Us® announced the introduction and pre-sale of its first-ever consumer electronics device developed and designed by the company, tabeo™ is now officially available in all of its stores across the country and online at Toysrus.com.
The 7-inch, multi-touch tablet comes with 50 free,
preinstalled apps plus great safety
features. Adults can create up to eight user profiles, tailoring levels of access
for children of different ages, and can take advantage of the unique
filtering system to block up to 27 categories of content or specific
sites deemed inappropriate by the device administrator.
Right
out of the box, dozens of kid-friendly apps and games are available on
the device, including Cut the Rope, Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Temple Run
and more. Additionally,
tabeo is a great educational resource
for kids of all ages, as it includes programs such as AlphaTots,
Operation Math and TechCalc, along with a library of various literary
titles. Plus, kids will have fun with the multitude of included
creativity, photography and activity apps provided, from Putt Putt Zoo
and Camera App to Freddy Fish and Stolen Shell. Thousands of free apps also can be found through the
tabeo App Store,
including must-haves like Skype, allowing users to expand the content
on their device. Coming soon, users will be able to access the new
Toys"R"Us Movies app, where thousands of family-friendly movies and TV
shows are available for streaming and download. Also, through the
tabeo Web browser, kids also can access YouTube and other top-visited sites.
Though tabeo
is engineered with 4GB of
memory, expandable up to 32GB, a 7-inch
capacitive screen, which displays more than 16 million colors with an 800 x 480
screen resolution, and a USB cable and power adapter to ensure 7 hours
of battery life easily connected to a computer or wall outlet for charging. In addition the included lime green bumper helps keep tabeo protected
when dropped from low heights or bumped into other objects.
