INFRAWARE announced today that it will exhibit Palaoo, the first ePub 3.0 e-book service for multiple OSs, at Frankfurt Book Fair 2012.
Palaoo, an ePub 3.0 e-reader developed based on advanced INFRAWARE technology, was launched in South Korea in September of this year via partnerships with publishers and content creators. The interactive e-book reader works with multiple OSs including iOS, Android, and Windows XP/7 PCs, and features touch/click/drag screen, draw/move character, as well as sound and animation effects -- essentially allowing users to create their own e-books. Palaoo also supports Cloud for easy sharing with other devices.
"Currently, it takes publishers two to three months to develop a six-page e-book. With Palaoo, that process is reduced to just one week with resulting premium e-book content for kids that is richer and more interactive," said Kyungnam Kim, Head of INFRAWARE's Books business. "Introducing this sort of advancement, Palaoo will move the industry forward as an e-book service for publishers and consumers alike."
