The Sports Network announced today its partnership with Micron Global of New York in presentation of its dynamic fantasy game, Vyvor.
Vyvor is a brand new approach to the popular past-time of fantasy sports, according to The Sports Network. The game is designed to test the skills of fantasy sports participants by lessening the choices of their player selections and evaluating whether those selections will maintain survivor status in a season-long game. Or most of a season, anyway, since the game has not been available until this, the third week of the season.
A Sports Network spokesman is touting that as an advantage. "Participants have an early 'feel' for the skill players on the NFL teams by our waiting until this week to begin," he said, "and we are fine with that. Just think, a $25 entry fee and more than $10,000 to the last survivor with additional prizes as best scores evolve weekly."
Vyvor Sports is the market brand created by Micron Global and The Sports Network. Participants can enter as many times as they wish at the outset at $25 per team per season. The basic tenet is that competitors/users select four players each week (one each from a different team at quarterback, running back, wide receiver/tight end and kicker), but, once chosen on a particular entry, those players cannot be selected a second time.
Weekly prizes are provided by Steiner Sports Memorabilia and will go to the entry with the most points for that week. Tie-breakers are in place in the event of such an occurrence. Points are accumulated each week with a weekly first place prize of memorabilia from Steiner Sports. And, at the end of the regular NFL season one lucky, or talented, person will receive the $10,000 grand prize as well as a trip for two to Las Vegas including air fare and hotel accommodations.
