Namco brings the marquee racing game franchise to the Apple App Store
Namco Networks, a leading publisher and developer of mobile, iPhone and PC games for casual gamers, today announced the release of the highly anticipated racing game Ridge Racer Accelerated for iPhone and iPod touch.
In this newest installment in the Ridge Racer series, the drifting continues as players use the accelerometer to control the car while racing through the track. Drifting allows the player to gain an advantage on the competition by not only blazing around corners faster, but charging up more nitrous which can then be unleashed.
Ridge Racer Accelerated features 2 exciting courses (plus unlockable reverse-course play!) and 18 exotic cars with additional downloadable tracks and cars available at the Online Shop. An ability to paint the cars allows for customization. Future updates will include over 40 courses and 60 cars, access to the users iTunes library and Bluetooth multiplayer.
