Toshiba’s Digital Products Division has extended its free recycling program beyond Toshiba laptops to include many of today’s most common consumer electronics. This expansion provides Toshiba with the most comprehensive trade-in-program in the industry. Toshiba now accepts e-waste with no market value for recycling without requiring the consumer to purchase a Toshiba product. Qualifying items include laptops, Tablet PCs, monitors, projectors, cameras, camcorders, servers, home audio receivers, cell phones, car audio, home electronics, auto electronics, mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 players, game systems and GPS navigation systems.
“The growth of Toshiba’s free recycling program is a reflection of the company’s dedication to promoting responsible disposal of hazardous waste,” says Jeff Barney, General Manager and Vice President, Digital Products Division, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. “Recycling items regardless of the manufacturer is a natural step for Toshiba, considering the value we place on environmental responsibility.”
To provide customers that have working products with value, Toshiba offers users the option of trading in their used products for cash with no obligation to purchase a Toshiba product. Users can determine the trade-in value of old consumer electronics products by visiting Toshiba’s product value estimator at http://toshiba.com/recycle.
