Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. awarded $10,000 to Colorado-based mobile entertainment dealer Drive-In Autosound, the first annual Pioneer Community Give Back Award winner, to present to its charity of choice, the Fort Carson Officer’s Spouses Club (FCOSC) Santa’s Workshop. The organization provides gifts for children of military families who might otherwise be unable to celebrate the holidays.
In a ceremony held yesterday at Drive-In Autosounds’ Motor Way store, Ed Sachs, President of Pioneer’s Mobile Business Group, recognized local business leaders Kevin and Scott Clark, Drive-In Autosound president/CEO and COO, for their support of the military in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Kevin Clark presented the check to Martha Ragano, FCOSC president and Tana Caballero, FCOSC Santa’s Workshop chairperson.
Pioneer’s new initiative honors its dealers for outstanding community service. Sachs, who named Drive-In Autosound as the award’s first winner at the company’s annual dealer Road Show held in San Diego, California, on April 19th, stressed the importance of philanthropy to the company. “As Pioneer works hard to engage the 12-Volt community in raising awareness to the consuming public, one outreach about which we feel strongly is charity. Pioneer is, of course, directly involved in a number of philanthropic programs. However, a way to build on that foundation is to recognize the good works of our dealers and the impact they are having on a local level,” said Sachs.
