The nation's largest custom electronics design and installation trade show, the CEDIA EXPO, drew a record-breaking 29,000 professionals from the residential electronic systems industry to Denver last week -- a four percent increase over last year's show.
“We are indeed pleased that CEDIA EXPO continues to be the premiere trade show for the residential electronic systems industry,” said Don Gilpin, Executive Director of the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA). “Even at a time when negative housing trends and economic concerns could have forced many in the industry to stay home, CEDIA EXPO increased in size again.”
The association has also been named the recipient of the 2008 Legends Award from Oser Communications Group, publishers of Consumer Electronics Daily News. The award will be presented at International CES 2008 and recognizes the association's unrivaled contributions to the industry.
The next opportunity to experience a CEDIA trade show will be April 29 through May 2, 2008 in Dallas, when CEDIA produces its first ever Spring EXPO. For more information about Spring EXPO visit www.cedia.org/springexpo/.
“CEDIA EXPO has proven its value in the marketplace by continuing to be relevant to a wide range of electronic systems professionals,” says Ken Erdmann, Chairman of CEDIA EXPO and owner of Erdmann Electric, Inc. in Springville, Utah. “From the new technician to the seasoned designer or business owner, CEDIA EXPO offers experiences that simply cannot be found elsewhere."
