Working to set its mobile phone line apart from the pack, and tout the evermore important green features of their products, Nokia has developed a new energy saving system for several of its handsets that will alert users to unplugged phone once it's full charged.
Currently available in three models -- the 1200, 1208 and 1650 -- the company said this week it is planning to add the alert to across its device range. While it may seem like a small energy saving move, Nokia says the amount of power wasted by leaving fully-charged cell phones plugged in too long amounts to enough electricity to power 85,000 homes annually.
