Blaupunkt is now shipping the San Diego MP27 car radio receiver, a value-focused, in-dash radio that features high-quality CD transport, including compatibility with MP3 encoded discs, and a wide array of connections for integration with mobile electronics and entertainment systems.
The San Diego MP27 is capable of playing MP3-encoded CDs, allowing consumers to store up to 10 hours of music on a single MP3 CD-R/RW. The unit's CD transport includes a 10 second CD, 100 second MP3 shock proof memory to eliminate disc skips or MP3 dropouts on the road. It delivers 4x45 Watts of power, and includes four channel pre-outs to accommodate external power amplifiers. It is also compatible with Blaupunkt's optional iPod interface, allowing users to integrate control and playback of their iPod portable music device directly through the radio, and there is a TEL/NAVI Mute input to simplify operation with cell phone and navigation systems.
The Blaupunkt San Diego MP27 includes adjustable bass, treble and XBASS EQ functions that let listeners dial-in sound for ideal acoustic performance. Additionally, there are selectable EQ presets designed to optimize playback for different program types, such as rock, pop or classical music. There is an AUX input for integration with satellite tuner, video system or navigation computer, as well as pre-outs for all four channels.
The Blaupunkt San Diego MP27 car radio is currently available at an MSRP of $149.95. For more information, click here.
