There's no shortage of MP3 players, portable video players, iPod accessories, Zune lookalikes, Sansa reduxes and other portable entertainment options vying for attendee attention and ultimately retailer shelf space at the show. Here's a quick photo tour of the best and brightest in the PMP category, from the big names to the unheard players that may well be 2007's up-and-comer.
Aigo F335
With a 4-inch LCD screen and brightness control to gives users maximum flexibility to control over battery life, the F335 is available in capacities up to 60GB. When it's not playing dozens of video and audio codecs, it also doubles as a portable DVR. Also on display is the E235, with similar functionality, a 3.5-inch screen and up to 160GB of storage. Creative ZEN Vision W
At 4.3 inches, the widescreen Zen Vision is the largest PMP viewer on the market. With 30GB and 60GB models, the system can play nearly any audio/video codec in existence (except iTunes and Zune DRM'd files, of course), as well as function as a portable DVR, photo viewer, FM radio, personal organizer or voice recorder. To top that off, the W has been rated with up to 13 hours of continuous music play on a single charge (4.5 hours of video play).

Sandisk Sansa View
This is Sandisk's first foray into the PMP arena, and they've made a big splash with this unit, which is expected to ship in Spring 2007. At the moment, the Sansa View comes equipped with an 8GB internal memory, as well as SD/SDHC expansion slot for limitless capacity. Like those above, the View doubles as a DVR, accommodates the standard alphabet soup of codecs and has a 10-hour battery life.

blufin PMP + PDA + Navigation + MP3
Deep inside the Sands Convention Center, and far far away from the arena-sized booths of Creative and Sandisk, the blufin from TINNOS, Inc., is quickly generating buzz for its all-in-one PMP device. As the name suggests, the blufin combines full PMP codec support on a 4-inch color LCD, with a variety of Windows CE-based applications to provide full PDA functionality. The blufin sports a 2MP camera (with camcorder ability), as well as WiFi functionality, a 30GB HDD and an AMD Au1200 processor. It also has composite and component connections for DVR use.
