Advanced Media, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of the RIDATA brand of recordable CD and DVD media, electronic storage products and digital media accessories, is jumping into the USB flash drive market.
The company is showing off eight such products in its RIDATA USB drive lineup, each aimed at a different user based on price point, styling and unique features. Moreover, all of drives come Vista-ready with ReadyBoost compatibility. ReadyBoost is Windows Vista newest feature for adding memory to a system called ReadyBoost. It uses a removable flash memory device, such as a USB thumb drive, to improve system performance by retrieving data from flash memory quicker than data stored on a hard disk.
“With the growth in popularity of USB flash drives, we see a tremendous opportunity for our RIDATA EZ Drive line,” says Harvey Liu, Advanced Media President. “Our selection is rapidly growing and includes a number of innovative designs that users love not only for application purposes, but for aesthetic reasons as well. EZ USB Drive products enable users to securely exchange huge amount of data easily between computers or notebooks that have a USB port. They are the ideal choice to replace many storage products.”
Common Features
All RIDATA EZ Drives offer true plug-and-play convenience and backward compatible function. Each is compliant with USB 2.0 with a full-speed transfer rate of up to 480Mbps. All are compatible with USB 1.1. No external power or battery is needed, as each is powered by a USB port on any compatible desktop or laptop computer. A power-saving mode reduces power consumption.
